Hello,

May 01, 2017 Optionally, you can trigger a manual update of the xprotect and Gatekeeper software update mechanism in Mac OS; As mentioned, the method for macOS Catalina and Mojave will also show you the Xprotect update install date and time as well as the Xprotect version, which can be valuable information for sysadmins, IT workers, infosec, and general administrators. Sep 11, 2017 It is not the MRT app, but if I am correct, the MRT got infected by some malware which sends it into a loop with increasing memory. Also you are unable to delete it. I had the same problem, and what helped was the app malwarebytes. Test version is fully functional and free (www.malwarebytes.com).
I'm on macOS Sierra 10.12.6 on MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Mid 2015), 16 GB RAM. Seems like there are reports of MRT using high CPU and how to remove it here. But I'd rather not remove it because it scans for malware. Then run.schema to see the structure of tables, etc. These include feature, authority, sequence, and object which contains hashes. On the flip side, you can search for the com.apple.quarantine attribute set to com.apple.quarantine.

just installed Xcode 9.2 via AppStore (running macOS 10.12.6). Imidiate after starting the new Xcode 9.2 I got a warning from my anti-virus-program (AVG AntiVirus) which says: 'We've moved libswiftDispatch.dylib to your Virus Chest because it was infected with MacOs:BitCoinMiner-AS [Trj.]'. And of course Xcode does not start anymore.

As I see it's a file which should be placed in Xcode.app/Contents/Frameworks/libswiftDispatch.dylib. At the moment this file is placed in quarantine.

Now I wonder is that a real danger or is this anti-virus-program overprotective?
What should I do?
